Cyber Security Lead – Ship Intelligence

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ship Intelligence team as a Cyber Security Lead. In this role you will be leading Product Cyber Security related development within Ship Intelligence product portfolio to ensure together with Technical Product Managers and Chief Engineer that Product Cyber Security related topics are properly considered and required technical solutions are available throughout product lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be the technical authority related Cyber Security solutions within Ship Intelligence portfolio
  • Ensure that all relevant upcoming cyber security related standards, rules and regulations are taken into account right time throughout product lifecycle
  • Lead the setting of strategy and policy for product cyber security
  • Collaborate with the regulatory bodies concerning development of cyber security regulations and to ensure compliance towards regulations
  • Agree compliancy (verification and validation) criteria’s with technical product managers and regulatory bodies related technologies and products developed within ship intelligence product portfolio
  • Facilitator of Cyber Security Training for personnel working on the Ship Intelligence products.
  • Lead team of a product cyber security within Ship Intelligence and other related products in researching, evaluating, recommending, designing, analysing, implementing, integrating, and testing cyber security technologies
  • Establish best practices and provide guidance on how to secure Ship Intelligence systems at appropriate levels.
  • Contribute in system security assessments
  • Provide governance to ensure products are suitably safe and secure, in addition to being compliant with internal policies and relevant sector legislation
  • Work strategically to prepare existing and new products for the next generation of security requirements. A part of that work is also contributing such that cyber security is addressed thoroughly in relevant development processes.

Key Experiences and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience, in particular Experience in performing Technical Risk Assessments and Risk Management
  • A good understanding of secure development principals and information Assurance throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in performing threat and vulnerability modelling
  • Knowledge and application of a range of international cyber security standards (e.g. NIST SP800-30 and NIST SP800-64)
  • Successful experience in developing technical solutions and information assurance evidence
  • Experience in working with Safety Systems, Systems Engineering (including Model Based Systems Engineering), Operational Technology and the Industrial Internet of Things is preferable
  • In depth knowledge of Cyber Security related requirements within Marine Industry (e.g. SOLAS/IMO, relevant standards, classification rules and flag state rules) is preferable
  • Experience in developing, operating, installing, servicing or managing marine equipment are desirable
  • Experience in new product development from concept design phase until final product is desirable
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of operating
